Nick Steinhardt / Designer

Nick was born and raised in Southern California. After barely surviving the 1994 Northridge earthquake, he began taking classes in music and fine art, and by age 13 was performing in bands and creating their related artwork. He went on to attend California Institute of the Arts, graduating in 2009 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design.

At Smog, Nick specializes in all things typographic, particularly enjoying any chance to delve into type design, patterning and custom lettering. He's also acquired a taste for top 40 radio.

In his spare time he can be found obsessing over and collecting vintage guitars and effects pedals, planning trips to Northern Europe, and touring/recording with his two bands.
